Swiss food giant Nestlé has posted a profit of 10.43 Billion Swiss Francs (almost $10bn) for Fiscal Year 2009 and will raise its dividend by 14.3% to 1.60 francs.
The results are ahead of expectations and analysts are now predicting growth for 2010 citing positive signals from the company stating that the growth was “broad-based across all categories and regions”. Bottled water was the only category that struggled, falling 1.4% on prior years.
Nestlé brands include well known global and regional brands such as Aero, Purina, Nescafe, Kit Kat, Perrier, Haagen Dazs, Poland Spring, Vittel, Dreyers, Buitoni and Hot Pockets
